Cache of Mummies found at Saqqara.
A cache of around 30 mummies and four unopened sarcophagus, have been found in a chamber on the western side of the Step pyramid. The dates of the mummies range from 640 BC for one and an estimated 2,400 BC for one of the currently un-open limestone sarcophagus, which is believed to originate from the fifth dynasty.
